Open Letter to the Brave Men 2022-10-02 
I first met Dr. Bruce Bickel at the onset of the Brave Men’s weekly Bible Study, then held at World Vision’s International Distribution Center in Sewickley. Frank Melnyk and Ron Fontenasi encouraged me to attend. They knew I needed to work on my theology.
Little did I know that Bruce Bickel was first an aviator then a pastor before he took on the corporate world of finance. Having my private pilots license I was curious to learn about flying from a Naval Aviator as well as about Jesus from this unknown preacher man. What I have learned since meeting Bruce Bickel has raised many questions in my “voyage” to understand myself, Jesus Christ, and God. My encounter with Bruce, and the Brave Men has also led me to dig deeper into God’s word. It is a “voyage” full of adventure and peril, unfolding paradoxes as I am more in awe of God. Frank and Ron are happy now.
