R. Ian Davis
R. Ian Davis is a business executive that has spent his 25 year career in the people business. Until recently, Ian has spent his professional life in increasingly responsible positions with global companies such as TRW, Textron, Rockwell Collins, Carmeuse, and Respironics. He has held positions ranging from entry-level employee relations roles early in his career to recent roles as Chief Human Resources Officer and Vice President-Human Resources. Recently, Ian has founded a consulting firm, Davis & Company: Human Capital Strategists. Davis & Company is dedicated to the proposition that the single greatest source of sustainable competitive advantage in any business – whether ‘for-profit’ or ‘not-for-profit’ – is the workforce. Further, if the workforce is to have any hope of success, leadership must align the workforce strategy with the business strategy. The process of developing and implementing such customized workforce strategies for its clients is the focus of the firms work. While not part of its core offering, Davis & Company has deep expertise in executive coaching, HR consulting and union relations consulting which it can provide to select clients.

Ian has attained the professional designation of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and has recently received his Master Human Capital Strategist (MHCS) designation, one of a small number of such professionals in the world. Ian is a citizen of Canada, Ireland, and the United States. He has been married to his beautiful wife (inside and out) Charlotte for 23 years, and has been blessed with two great kids, Victoria Grace Davis (13) and William James Winston Davis (10). They attend Christ Church at Grove Farm and homeschool their children in the north hills area of Pittsburgh, PA.
