I am a 68 year old retired entrepreneur that worked as a CPA, industrial painting contractor, airplane parts manufacturer and aircraft interior refurbisher during my interesting and enjoyable work career. I sold my refurbishing business in 2006 and have been busy building a new home for my wife and I for the past 1-1/2 years (We are almost done).
I have always believed that Christ was God’s son, but until 2001, it was of little relevance to my life. We went to churches of various denominations over the years, didn’t go to church for part of that time, but I did not have a heart for God until we started to attend Orchard Hill Church and heard about having a personal relaltionship with Christ. What is a personal relationship with Christ, and how do I get one? I asked everyone that I thought could give me an answer, read books, journaled and did not find an answer until I went to a men’s retreat and met a man who introduced me to a personal relationship with Christ. Since then I have been working to build that relationship by increasing my knowledge, and, hopefully, my wisdom.
I have been very active in men’s ministry.
I have completed the Spiritual Gifts Motivation Inventory, and my spiritual gifts are prophecy and administration (this means I am not a good listener). I have used these Gifts in the past as a foster parent, CASA volunteer and as an entrepreneur. I am presently looking for new opportunities to enable me to put these Gifts to use.
