How to register?

In the META box on the right side of any screen on www.bravemen.org, click <register>.

  1. Provide your username (your choice) and your e-mail address. 
  2. You will receive an e-mail with your username, a computer-generated password and a link to the administration page of www.bravemen.org.
  3. Click the link provided in the e-mail and login using your username and the password you were provided.
  4. You will be taken to the Bravemen.org Dashboard (Word Press).
  5. Please click on <Profile> and complete the profile with all the information you have at your disposal.  This is where you can change your password.
  6. Once you create your profile, you will be automatically set up as a “Contributor” which allows you to create and  edit material on our site subject to the approval of site administrators.  Remember it’s there for you to use, so go for it!  If you want to know what capabilities that a contributor has, click here.
  7. After you’ve created your profile, you’re good to go.  If you have something to say about an existing post, “comment” on it.  If you have something to say about an original subject, create your own post.  Try it out… you can’t hurt anyone (unless you post someothing tasteless, then Sig will break your kneecaps J).  We only ask that the material you post be relevant to our study together and focussed on our growth together.

First Step after registering is to create a BraveMen Bio.  We’d like to add a bio on each man.  I’ve listed the ingredients, and we’d like you to combine them into a bit of a narrative that will allow everyone to get to know you… so put on your best writing skills !

  1. Basic biographical data.
    1. Name
    2. Age
  2. Spiritual Information
    1. Testimony – briefly tell us about your spiritual journey.
    2. Spiritual Gifts Motivation – once we do the Spiritual Gifts Motivation Inventory, we’ll populate this section – leave it blank for now.
  3. Family & Work
    1. Family situation and details – enjoy telling us about your family here.
    2. Work situation and details – a chance to describe yourself or your business.
  4. Anything else you want us to know.
  5. Photo… we’d like a 150 pixel x 200 pixel digital photo to put with your profile (if you’re not sure, send what you have).  It can be e-mailed to R. Ian Davis at ian@riandavis.com.  If you don’t have one of that size, send what you have and we’ll edit it.  If you don’t have one at all, e-mail Ian and tell him… he’ll make arrangements to take you picture on a Friday morning and use that one.

Second Step is to start reading the content on the site… comment on what’s there and adding your own content.
