The Christological Pattern of the Christian Life

Dr. Bruce Bickel is recovering from his knee replacement surgery and also had a procedure to relieve pain in his lower back. Therefore the Rev. Jeff Stivason will begin a new series this Friday, August 11, 2017 entitled, “The Christological Pattern of the Christian Life.” As a means of introduction his first lesson plan is “Getting Familiar with the Territory.” Using 1Peter 1:1-12 Rev. Stivason will introduce us to this new series and show us what we will look like, how do we get there and showing us the way forward. The other aspects of this introduction include, “Humiliation and Exaltation”, “Examples of Humiliation” and “Pastoral Counsel.” Please join us at the Barn as we start this new series with our new teacher.

The Rev. Jeffrey A. Stivason, Ph.D, is the pastor of Grace Reformed Presbyterian Church in Gibsonia PA. Dr. Stivason is a gifted preacher and teacher and a compassionate shepherd. He has been serving the Lord as a minister of the Gospel since 1995. During that time, he has planted two churches, the most recent one being Grace RP Church, which formally constituted in January of 2010. He has published articles and reviews in the Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, The Westminster Theological Journal, The Presbyterion, The Confessional Presbyterian and others. Dr. Stivason is also a contributor to the Jonathan Edwards Encyclopedia and author of, From Inscrutability to Concursus, published by P&R Publishing. He is also the Managing Editor for the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals program Theology on the Go, which is hosted by Place for Truth (placefortruth.org).
