Thomas Hansz is married to his wife, Patricia and they have three grown sons, Aaron, David and Benjamin.\u00a0 <\/span>They moved into Mt. Lebanon in 1990 and consider this their \u201cbase of operations\u201d with off spring in Houston, Washington and London.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tom is the founder and president of Facility Planning & Resources, Inc, which is a nationally recognized specialty architectural firm.\u00a0 <\/span>FPR is well known as experts in nanotechnology and laboratory facilities.\u00a0 <\/span>Based upon his 30 years of experience, Tom frequently speaks at national conferences and corporate training sessions explaining the unique aspects of high technology facilities and illustrating the latest thinking in making these facilities effective places for work and research. <\/span><\/p>\n

Tom has a specific talent for listening to and understanding the needs of building users.\u00a0 <\/span>Gathering their input, Tom then refines and organizes their objectives, desired concepts, the background information, and the necessary requirements into a presentation resulting in a consensus for <\/span>moving forward.\u00a0 <\/span>It is not unusual for Tom review plans that a university or corporation has spent month in developing, and to then present them with several options which give them improved flexibility and greater utilization.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tom has effectively used this talent in the design of not only high technology facilities, but for a wide variety of architectural types including libraries, churches, museums, office buildings, conference centers and production facilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before moving to Pennsylvania, Tom was a Vice President at the <\/span>award winning firm of CRS\/Caudill Rowlett Scott in Houston where he was in charge of the advanced technology projects serving companies such as Intel, Motorola, Cummins Engine and Nortel.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Prior to joining CRS, Tom worked for several world renowned architects and had a private practice.\u00a0 <\/span>Tom graduated with a Master of Architecture degree from the <\/span>renowned Cranbrook Academy of Art, in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
