R. Ian Davis is a business executive that has spent his 25 year career in the people business.\u00a0 Until recently, Ian has spent his professional life in increasingly responsible positions with global companies such as TRW<\/a>, Textron<\/a>, Rockwell Collins<\/a>, Carmeuse<\/a>, and Respironics<\/a>.\u00a0 He has held positions ranging from entry-level employee relations roles early in his career to recent roles as Chief Human Resources Officer and Vice President-Human Resources.\u00a0Recently, Ian has founded a consulting firm, Davis & Company: Human Capital Strategists.\u00a0\u00a0Davis & Company is dedicated to the proposition that the single greatest source of sustainable competitive advantage\u00a0 in any business – whether ‘for-profit’ or ‘not-for-profit’\u00a0– \u00a0is the workforce.\u00a0 Further, if the workforce is to have any hope of success, leadership must align the workforce strategy with the business strategy.\u00a0 The process of developing and implementing such customized workforce strategies for its clients\u00a0is the focus of the firms work.\u00a0 While not part of its core offering,\u00a0Davis & Company has deep expertise in executive coaching, HR consulting and union relations consulting which it can provide to select clients.<\/p>\n

Ian has attained the professional designation of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and\u00a0has recently\u00a0received his Master Human Capital Strategist (MHCS) designation, one of a small number of such professionals in the world.\u00a0 Ian is a citizen of Canada, Ireland, and the United States.\u00a0 He has been married to his beautiful wife (inside and out) Charlotte for 23 years, and has been blessed with two great kids, Victoria Grace Davis<\/a> (13) and William James Winston Davis<\/a> (10).\u00a0 They attend Christ Church at Grove Farm<\/a> and homeschool their children in the north hills area of Pittsburgh, PA.<\/div>\n
